ktvu's claudine wong joining us to tell us why the bail was reduced. >> reporter: good morning. it has been a quiet morning here. behind me is the home of charles rittenhouse. there are gloves on the driveway. private property signs and no trespassing signs that have been put up. and even some crime tape still on the fence. no sign of rittenhouse. but i can say he has rejected requests for interviews. he is out on bail this morning after posting a $25,000 bond. that $25,000 dramatically different figure from the $2 million bail that had been originally set. the number was reduced yesterday after the prosecutors told the judge that the office would not be filing any additional charms, at least -- charges, at least not any time soon. that did surprise rittenhouse's attorney. what that means is he is only facing charges for having explosive chemicals in his home. he is not facing charges in connection with the death of his wife and her friend. the bodies of those women were found on august 31st, one inside the home and one in the backyard. rittenhouse had filed a missing persons re

no one informed us. i heard through other students. >> now, the second attempted sexual assault took place a week after the first one. so a couple of days ago, on a thursday. now, in that particular instance, we're told that a woman was going to her car in the second floor of the lee avenue parking garage, when somebody came up behind her, pulled up her sweatshirt behind her, pushed her against the wall. she fought back. the woman broke free and ran to her car. and the suspect ran away. the suspect in that particular attempted assault is described as a latino man, between 40 and 50. and he did not follow. and here's what we tried to show you earlier about the alert on the campus website. and down here, there is a description here. says here, possibly hispanic, or african american male, 6 feet. last seen wearing a black zipup style pant suit. even though this alert is on the campus website, i went through the buildings, there is no posting, no posting of a description or a sketch. so there is reason to be
